So, this place was recommended but it was before it burned down. When we went to this location, I was under the impression that this place was under the same ownership but I have found nothing to back this up.

EDIT 8/2/19: In fact, I know that my assumptions were incorrect. Nuevo Leon (the 54 year old Pilsen restaurant that burned down in 2015 has yet to reopen as of yet. But Danny Gutierrez’s son, Danny Jr., has opened his own restaurant across the street from the old Nuevo Leon called Cantón Regio. Go check it out.

However, this was still a great place. A cozy, sit-down place with a mom-and-pop vibe.

Our waitress, Blanca, was very nice and quick to make suggestions. For example, as always, I was just going to get the steak, but she advised to get the chicken as well. And.... it was fantastic.

First, I mean, melted cheese. Pretty hard to go wrong from there. But the chicken was very fresh and well seasoned - and I don't normally even like chicken! It's so often bland and flavorless. That was not the case with these tacos. I liked the chicken even more than the steak (because I ordered both). However, I'm not going to lie, it was a great steak taco, as well.

You will 100% be satisfied here. So recommend for sure.
