EDIT 8/2/19: It seems that Buzz Bait Taqueria has closed. RIP. A BomboBar has opened in it’s former location. BomboBar is great. Go to BomboBar.

Okay, for starters. We were really excited about this place. And by we, I mean fellow taco connoisseur and BIRTHDAY GIRL, Sara Seibt, was really excited about this place. It's FISH TACOS, YO! We specifically saved this spot for her. Now, for the record, I was skeptical. It's trendy. It's in Old Town. What the hell does Old Town know about tacos?

But it was also National Taco Day! And our friend from Singapore was in town! So we were stoked. Alas, this was not the best experience.

So we got a couple things. I got the Sweet and Spicy Ahi Tuna Poke tacos after how much I adored my poke tacos from Big & Littles, so perhaps that was my downfall. They could just not compare. The main problem being the teriyaki sauce they chose overpowered the ahi tuna. Which was no bueno.

Sara got two different kinds, she got the Crispy Shrimp and the Sapporo Battered Alaskan Cod. The crispy shrimp were more crisp than shrimp as well as the better of the two. The Sapporo Battered Alaskan Cod was nothing to write home about.

This is for sure not a rave. It's not a bash either. It's conveniently located with outdoor seating so the restaurant itself is great. The tacos are just okay.
