his place is a cool little spot in Fulton Market that has outdoor seating (woot!) and excellent proximity to my office (woot! woot!).

Though, as always, my guard is up - this place SCREAMS trendy and we all know that generally doesn't bode well for the tacos. But, I'm starving so, here goes!

We started off with the Chicken Cemita - which is basically like a taco sandwich. We figured we'd try one because it was the restaurant's namesake. It was... fine. Basically tasted like a taco barfed onto bread - though not a particularly flavorful taco. At this point, we weren't impressed.

The recommended taco was the Taco Arabe - unusual with its flour soft shell... immediately I'm skeptical - then mad, because, whilst posing for a picture I thought would be adorable (it wasn't), some of the contents spilled out and splatted directly on my white skirt. Don't worry, I got the stain out, but I was peeved at the time.

However, the taco packed a punch. The flavor was nice and I, for one, liked it. A bit different, it reminded me more of a fajita than a taco, but whatever, I can dig it. However, that sucker was spicy, so fellow taco connoisseur but also total spice-wimp, Sara Seibt, at the warning of our server, forwent the sauce - this was mistake #1, as the sauce is what provided almost all of the flavor on the taco. Resulting in Sara basically eating a bulky flour tortilla with flavorless meat. Sara = not impressed.

The next taco I had was the carne asada taco and it was solid - couldn't find anything to complain about or necessarily rave about Now we are on Sara’s second mistake: she only got the one sauceless taco because she thought she'd be full after that and the Cemita. So while I had an interesting taco and a solid taco to judge. Sara had a bland taco and nothing else.

As such, on the fence about whether we would recommend.
