The feature today was supposed to be TáKoz. However, that place closed at 5:30, ya'll. How am I supposed to get there in time after work?! What a nonsensical time to close down a taco shop - it's like they don't know tacos are dinner food. Ironically this was very close to Jarabe - which we barely made it to because it closes at 7 and that was when we used to leave the office at 6 to go to these taco places. What is with Taylor street?

So, instead, we found the closest place serving tacos to be a joint called Papi's Tacos about a block down. And what an odd little place it was.

First off, it appears to also sell Italian food and Pizza, which, I mean, ok. One of the best quiches I ever had was from a similar place up in Rogers Park so, no judgement here.

The inside is a little grungy in a I-Wouldn't-Want-To-Take-A-Nap-Here-With-My-Mouth-Open kind of way, but I mean, whatever - THEY WERE OPEN DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. Not gonna complain.

On to the tacos.

They were solid.

Well seasoned.

Classic.

Honestly everything you should expect and be satisfied with when ordering a taco.

I can't really expand on them more. Papi's delivered exactly what was promised to us.

Ride or Die? Meh. I mean it's SOLID. If you're there, GO! But I wouldn't tell people to go out of their way.
